FAQs

How long does it take to prepare a meal?

FoodHaul™ meals are designed to be prepared in a conventional or a microwave oven. In the microwave, it takes 3 to 5 minutes to properly heat up our meals, and in a conventional oven it takes 12 to 15 minutes.

Our proprietary FlavorChill™ process means FoodHaul™ meals come out of the microwave (or conventional oven) fresh and delicious without compromising any quality or flavor.

When preparing multiple meals at once, we recommend using a conventional oven or heating the meals individually in a microwave.

Is a subscription required to order FoodHaul™?
When choosing FoodHaul™, there is never a subscription required! At FoodHaul™, we know it’s hard enough to plan dinner for tonight, let alone for next week so our meals are always offered on-demand with no strings attached.
How does FoodHaul™ work?

To enjoy our chef curated meals, follow these easy steps:

  1. Visit one of our storefronts to choose from all our on-demand meal options from a range of top chefs.
  2. Or if preferred, you can order delivery or pick-up on-demand directly from our website.
  3. Heating instructions for a microwave or conventional oven are provided on every package to ensure a perfect meal that is ready when you want it to be!
How many people does one FoodHaul™ meal feed?

Each FoodHaul™ meal has one standard restaurant-sized portion similar to what you would get if you ordered that same dish at one of our chef’s restaurants.

How long do the meals last in the refrigerator?

Each meal has a best by date, which will typically be 3-5 days from purchase. We recommend that the FoodHaul™ meal is consumed on or before that date.

Can FoodHaul™ meals be frozen at home?

Our FoodHaul™ chefs do not recommend freezing our meals at home as it may interfere with the proprietary FavorChill™ process.

How do you choose your chef/restaurant partners?

At FoodHaul™, we take our chef and restaurant partnerships seriously. We usually work directly with a chef for many months before offering their meals on FoodHaul™ to ensure they are the best fit for our customers. We only partner with chefs and restaurants that speak to our brand’s mission, and whose signature dishes are a fit for FoodHaul™.

Does FoodHaul™ track allergen information for each meal?

Yes, FoodHaul™ lists information for the following major allergens: dairy, wheat, soy, eggs, fish, peanuts, tree nuts and shellfish on our packaging and website.

However, our meals are produced and packed in a facility that also processes dairy, wheat, soy, eggs, fish, peanuts, tree nuts, sesame and shellfish. Because of this, if consumers have a severe food allergy, FoodHaul™ may not be their best option.
